Retirement: what pension for a salary of 1,300 euros?

The pension reform that is being prepared could be a game-changer for many working people. That being said, many workers will not have the opportunity to take advantage of some of the measures that retirees could benefit from. Only insured persons who have already liquidated their rights will benefit from the revaluation of pensions planned for this summer… Others, however, could be more interested in the famous “retirement at 1,000 euros” that Emmanuel Macron promised at the end of his previous mandate. It is certainly not among retirees that we find the most poor people… But since income from work affects the amount of the pension, precariousness also exists after the cessation of activity.

Therefore, a question arises: how much do you get in retirement when you have been paid 1,300 euros? The answer, of course, depends on a number of criteria.

Let us first remember that a full-time job at 1,300 euros net corresponds to a remuneration slightly lower than the Smic, the minimum interprofessional salary for growth. Its amount is set, in 2022, at 1,645.58 euros per month, i.e.… 1,302.64 euros net. In addition, 1,300 euros net correspond to 20,000 euros gross for the year.

A worker born on January 1, 1960 and having started working on the day of his 18th birthday could theoretically claim a pension at 62 years and 5 months, on July 1, 2022. His retirement pension, according to the online estimator Sapiendo , would then amount to 1,009 euros at the full rate, for the general scheme alone.

If, however, this same worker decides to wait until he is 67, i.e. on January 1, 2027, he could theoretically benefit from a higher pension: it would then be 1,196 euros for the general scheme alone.
