(Montreal) Unifor union members who work for Resolute Forest Products have ratified the tentative agreement reached with the employer.
Unifor, one of the major unions affiliated with the FTQ, evokes a ratification “with satisfaction”, but did not want to give a percentage of acceptance of the agreement in principle.
The agreement concerns some 525 workers who are covered by a dozen collective agreements.
They work on forestry activities in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Abitibi, Mauricie and Côte-Nord regions, Unifor said Thursday.
