(Quebec) The Legault government knocks out SAAQ CEO Denis Marsolais and replaces him with Éric Ducharme, until recently secretary of the Treasury Board. He takes office on April 6.

The SAAQclic fiasco will therefore get the better of Mr. Marsolais, appointed by the Legault government in 2021. He is a senior career civil servant, who has already served as public curator of Quebec, deputy minister of Justice, Public Security and to Transport.

Éric Ducharme has been Secretary of the Treasury since the CAQ came to power in 2018. He was previously CEO of Revenu Québec and Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance.
