(Montreal) Sherbrooke Phœnix head coach Stéphane Julien won the Ron-Lapointe trophy, awarded to the most outstanding coach of the past season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Julien guided the Phoenix to a 105-point campaign, including 50 wins, which allowed the team to secure first place in the Western Conference and third place overall.

Under Julien’s leadership, the Phoenix also finished first in both powerplay and penalty kill.

Julien also received this honor at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

Sylvain Favreau of the Halifax Mooseheads and Carl Mallette of the Victoriaville Tigres were the other finalists for the award.
