Power struggle in Venezuela: Maduro rejects of Europe set a deadline

The Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has rejected one of Europe set a deadline for free and fair elections. “This Ultimatum, you have to take it back. No one can provide us with an Ultimatum,“ he said in a Sunday broadcast Interview with broadcaster CNN Türk, according to the Turkish Translation. “Venezuela is not bound to Europe. This is a joke,“ said Maduro accordingly.

Berlin, Paris, Madrid and London had set the controversial head of state on Saturday for a period of eight days, to elections, to announce. Maduro should reject this, are the respective heads of state, ready, Juan Guaidó as interim President to acknowledge. The Venezuelan foreign Minister, Jorge Arreaza had rejected the Ultimatum on Saturday.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has close ties to Maduro. He called his counterpart according to their own figures and declared his support after the 35-year-old Guaidó had a call on Wednesday to interim President.

Maduro told CNN Türk that he was feeling, despite the situation “very motivated”. In the name of democracy and the freedom of his country go through a “historic war”.
