Chef Philippe Etchebest trained as a cook for four years at the Clos Longchamps restaurant at the Méridien hotel in Paris. In 2000, it is the consecration, he is designated best worker of France. From 2001 to 2003, he directed the kitchen of the prestigious Château des Reynats near Périgueux. It was on this occasion that the Michelin Guide awarded it its first star. In 2008, he won his second Michelin star in Saint-Emilion, in Gironde.

Three years later, in 2011, Philippe Etchebest presented the program Cauchemar en cuisine on M6. This show, inspired by Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares in which the chef comes to the aid of restaurateurs in great difficulty, is a great success. From 2015, he became a judge on the cooking show Top Chef. At the same time, he participated in several programs such as Fort Boyard or Les 40 ans du Puy du Fou: Les Animateurs fait le Spectacle. On the heart side, the 52-year-old man has been married to a certain Dominique since 1998.

Renowned for his outspokenness and good nature, Philippe Etchebest has changed a lot over time. In its infancy, we discovered the chef in the 1990s with hair and glasses (see the slideshow below). Then, upon his arrival at M6, the famous host adopted a well-stocked graying beard and opted for a completely shaved head.

But, a memorable sequence recently caught the attention of Internet users on social networks. In 2013, the Nightmare at the Hotel host appeared unrecognizable with no beard and shirtless, stepping out with a towel around his waist after testing his bedroom shower. A very imposing physique that sparked funny reactions on Twitter. A look back at the evolution of chef Philippe Etchebest in pictures.
