Lara Fabian was born on January 9, 1970 in Etterbeek, Belgium. She is the daughter of a Flemish father and a Sicilian mother. From the age of six, Lara Fabian was interested in music. In 1978, her parents enrolled her at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels where she studied opera singing. From the age of 14, the teenager performs in a pub in Brussels, the Black Bottom. The pretty blonde won various amateur competitions including the Tremplin de la Musique at the Festival de Wallonie. In 1988, she participated in the 33rd Eurovision Song Contest for Luxembourg in Dublin. With her song Croire, she ranks 4th out of 21 participants. That year, the competition was won by Switzerland, represented by Celine Dion.

After leaving for Quebec for a few years, Lara Fabian returned to Europe and released her album Pure in 1997. The latter sold two million copies thanks to the titles Tout, Je t’aime, Si tu m’aimes and La difference. .

On the heart side for Lara Fabian, she had a love story with musicians Rick Allison then Jean-Felix Lalanne and Gérard Pullicino. With the latter, she gave birth to a little girl, Lou, born on November 20, 2007. The couple finally separated at the end of 2012. Today, Lara Fabian shares her life with Gabriel di Giorgio, a magician of Sicilian origin.
