Police said that officers responded to the call and found blood on the walls, beds, and two 7-inch knives.

Officials have confirmed that a Philadelphia man was accused of stabbing six relatives in their sleep Friday morning.

Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small stated that officers arrived at the house at 4 a.m. to find six victims aged 26-46.

Small stated that the 46-year old mother of several victims suffered the most severe injuries, with head and neck wounds. At the hospital, she was in critical condition.

Small stated that the superficial wounds sustained by five other victims were not serious. He said that the youngest victim had special needs.

Small stated that officers discovered blood on the walls and in the beds. The master bedroom door was ripped open and the two knives were removed from the handle. Small stated that both knives had 7-inch blades and that one of them had come off the handle. This showed “how powerful and difficult the stabs were”.

Three blocks away, the suspect was discovered. According to police, he had small lacerations on his hands and face.

Small stated that the suspect is related to and lives in the home with the victims. The stabbings took place in the absence of two people: a woman and a child.

After he has been treated at Temple University Hospital, the suspect will be booked in jail.
