An 80-minute exchange between Michelle Obama and host Oprah Winfrey, titled The Light We Carry, filmed during the former first lady’s book tour, will premiere on Netflix on April 25.
The broadcasting platform announced with a trailer the broadcast of this conversation. The two women had held the event in California during the tour to promote Michelle Obama’s book, The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times.
The special will be a “candid” moment between the two friends, during which the former first lady “shares personal family stories of her childhood and time in the White House, offers hard-earned insights into self-confidence self, fear and aging, and gives practical advice for living in the modern age”.
Michelle Obama also opens up about her marriage to former US President Barack Obama, about menopause and, of course, the intent of her book.
