Music is once again in the spotlight on the Croisette. The 25th NRJ Music Awards ceremony takes place this Friday, November 10, 2023. For this “quarter century” anniversary, Nikos Aliagas returns to Cannes to host the musical evening broadcast on TF1.

After being replaced last year by Camille Combal, due to a nasty fall on the Star Academy set, the entertainment boss will be in charge of the ceremony which crowns the talents of the year 2023. Compared to the he previous edition, the evening of the NRJ Music Awards will be held in a particular context after the fatal knife attack in a high school in Arras last October.

What do you need to know about this 25th awards ceremony? Filming, television broadcast, red carpet and celebrities present at the Palais des Festivals… Planet tells you everything in its summary.

According to information published in Le Parisien, the NRJ Music Awards 2023 ceremony will not be broadcast live on TF1. Since the deadly attack in Arras this fall, France remains placed on “emergency attack” alert, triggered by Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne. Or the highest level of the system.

Faced with the unprecedented situation, the first channel must adapt the retransmission of the show. This is why the awards ceremony “will be recorded live during the afternoon of November 10, 2023 and broadcast the same evening, at 9 p.m.”, indicates the Ile-de-France newspaper. If the broadcast should not disturb the millions of viewers in front of their stations, will they see their favorite stars tread the legendary red carpet in front of the photographers?

Before each edition of the NRJ Music Awards, French and international stars parade on the red carpet. The opportunity for them to shine (solo, couple or group) in their luminous outfits under the photographers’ flashes. A highlight of the evening which will however not take place this year given the current context.

“The strengthening of the Vigipirate plan, the repeated bomb threats at the Château de Versailles and the cancellation of the MTV Europe Music Awards, scheduled for this weekend in Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis), require us to strengthen security” , details Le Parisien, according to a source close to the matter. Which will not prevent those faithful to the ceremony from showing their support by voting for their favorite artists.
