Host Julie Andrieu has established herself for several years as a host and food critic. The pretty blonde, married to neurosurgeon Stéphane Delajoux, was the daughter of a famous French actress named Nicole Courcel. The latter had played in about fifty feature films from the end of the 1940s until 1979. Actress also on the boards and on the small screen, she died on June 25, 2016 at the age of 86.

During her lifetime, Nicole Courcel had spoken of her love stories, in particular on her relationship with the father of her daughter Julie. “Meeting his dad was a beautiful love story, of which our daughter is the fruit. But this man had a wife, a child… and there was no question of him abandoning them”, had- she declared in the columns of France Sunday. She raised her daughter alone. When the latter was 6 years old, she then told him everything. “Now she calls him ‘papua’. And it was at his place that the banquet of her wedding with Stéphane took place,” she added.

In the rest of her interview, the actress had confided in the love life of her daughter and more particularly on the relationship she had with the photographer Jean-Marie Périer. The latter was 35 years old while his daughter was only 17 years old. “I knew he was very nice, that he wouldn’t hurt my daughter. But their age difference bothered me. I thought to myself, ‘That’s it, she’s gone to find a surrogate father!’ It made me sick,” she said. It is with him that she would have taken a liking to cooking: “It was when she lived with Jean-Marie that she started cooking”.
