(Winnipeg) Michael Amadio scored at 3:40 in second overtime and the Vegas Golden Knights prevailed 5-4 in Winnipeg on Saturday to take a 2-1 series lead against the Jets.

Amadio ended the debate with a dry shot from the top of the slot.

Adam Lowry of the Jets had created the deadlock with 21.9 seconds left in the third period, courtesy of a rebound. He got his fourth goal in three games.

Winnipeg went into the third period down 4-1, before the goals of Nino Niederreiter (2:04) and Mark Scheifele, with less than six minutes left in the period.

The packed house of 15,325 people at the Canada Life Center was dressed largely in white, keeping with tradition.

The series will continue Monday evening, at the same place.

Jack Eichel scored two superiority goals, also getting an assist on Keegan Kolesar’s goal.

Chandler Stephenson for the Knights and Kyle Connor for the Jets were the other scorers in the game.

The Jets’ Nikolaj Ehlers missed a third straight game. He still trained with the team in Nevada.

Niel Ponk has been instrumental in three Jets successes.

Laurent Brossoit made 30 saves, having spent three seasons with the Jets.

Connor Hellebuyck stopped 43 shots in the losing clan.

Ehlers injured his upper body on April 11 when checked by Ryan Hartman of the Minnesota Wild.
