(Green Bay) David Montgomery ran for 121 yards and three touchdowns and the Detroit Lions established themselves as the team to beat in the NL North with a 34-20 victory over the Packers. Green Bay, Thursday.

Montgomery had 32 carries after missing last Sunday’s win over the Atlanta Falcons with a hamstring injury. He became the first player in Lions history to score three rushing touchdowns in Green Bay. He is also the first Lions player to total 100 yards and three rushing yards since James Stewart in 2000.

The Lions (3-1) have beaten the Packers (2-2) four straight times, a streak that includes the final game of last season. The Lions then deprived Aaron Rodgers of a playoff participation in his last campaign with Green Bay.

His replacement, Jordan Love, caught a touchdown pass and reached the end zone with his legs once. He completed 23 of 36 passes for 246 yards, receiving two interceptions, each time thrown by Jerry Jacobs.

The Lions led 27-3 at halftime with a 284-21 advantage in yards. It was the Lions’ most productive first half against the Packers in 188 games.
