(New York) Activist and best-selling author Naomi Klein is launching a new book in September that will combine personal reflections with political reporting and cultural commentary.

A point of confusion addressed in the book: online commentators who confuse Klein with author Naomi Wolf.
Klein said in a statement Wednesday that the book was a “break” for her, given that it’s “more personal, more experimental.” It will explore “what it’s like to watch your identity slip away into the digital ether,” she added.
She says it’s usually an attempt to “combat the wildness of the moment, with conspiracy culture thriving and strange left-right alliances emerging.”
The book is titled Doppelganger: A Trip into the Mirror World.
Naomi Klein already has several books to her credit, including The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism and the classic No Logo. She is an associate professor at the University of British Columbia and co-director of the institution’s Center for Climate Justice.
