The main suspect has confessed. The 24-year-old woman is suspected of the murder of Lola, a 12-year-old schoolgirl found dead Friday evening in a trunk in the 19th arrondissement of Paris.

This Monday, October 17, a judicial investigation was opened with the charges of “murder in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old minor”, “rape of a 15-year-old minor with acts of torture and barbarism” and “concealment corpse”, reports BFMTV.

Dahbia B. is a homeless woman who was spotted on the teenage girl’s apartment building surveillance camera before she disappeared. Arrested on Saturday morning, the woman who suffered from “potential psychiatric disorders”, as a source close to the investigation told Le Parisien, confessed to the crime.

Our colleagues from TF1 report that the suspect admitted the facts to the police, even providing a number of elements and explaining the reasons which led him to specifically target Lola. “Detailed and circumstantial” confessions according to investigators.

However, the woman then allegedly backtracked and retracted with confused remarks, assuring that she had ultimately done nothing. The authorities and magistrates who heard her believe at this stage that she knew what she was doing and are not convinced by her backpedaling.

The woman has a clean record and, according to the information available, has never had a stay in psychiatry. She was indicted on Monday, October 17.
