She was only 12 years old. The terrible fate of little Lola provoked an unprecedented wave of emotion in France. During the night from Friday to Saturday, the body of the little girl, who disappeared in the afternoon, was found in a trunk in the courtyard of her building in the 19th arrondissement of Paris.
Dahbia. B, a 24-year-old Algerian national, who was subject to an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF) was indicted for “murder of a 15-year-old minor accompanied by rape”, “torture or acts of barbarism “, “rape of a minor with torture” and “barbaric acts”.
In police custody, she revealed by the menu the story of her sordid crime, before retracting.
That afternoon, she allegedly grabbed the young Lola in the lobby of the building, as she was returning from college, before dragging her to her sister’s apartment, where Dahbia B. had recently been staying. . There, she would have ordered the teenager to shower, before sexually abusing her, suffocating her, and horribly mutilating her body.
She then allegedly hid Lola’s partially dismembered body in a plastic trunk, before calling a “friend”, a VTC driver, to drive her to Asnières-sur-Seine, with her strange load.
Dahbia B. would however have ended up turning back, to deposit the trunk in the courtyard of the building in the 19th arrondissement, of which Lola’s mother was, moreover, the caretaker.
Since the beginning of the case, the motive for this crime of rare violence has been at the heart of the investigations. If, at first, the suspect claimed to have attacked the young girl to “revenge” her mother, who would have refused to provide her with a badge for access to the residence, certain commentators evoke an act linked to the Satanism, organ trafficking or the result of a severe mental disorder. The investigation is continuing to try to determine the reasons for such an outburst.
In the meantime, Lola’s family, deeply bruised by the tragedy, is trying somehow to mourn. The parents, Delphine and Johan, took refuge in the town of Fouquereuil (Nord), where Lola’s maternal grandmother lives.
