Dorofeyev also scored one of three goals for his team during the shootout.

Keegan Kolesar scored in regulation, while Jack Eichel and Reilly Smith netted the other Golden Knights in the shootout. Laurent Brossoit stopped 30 shots.

Matthew Boldy had a goal and an assist, reaching 30 goals in his first full NHL season with the Wild. Brandon Duhaime and John Klingberg also scored. Filip Gustavsson made 23 saves for the Wild, which would have secured playoff berth with a win.

Frédérick Gaudreau and Joel Eriksson Ek scored in the shootout for the Wild.

Dorofeyev’s first goal came in the second period, before Boldy’s in the bottom of the 20.

With Brossoit on the bench in favor of an extra forward, the Golden Knights trailing 3-2, Dorofeyev took advantage of a loose puck in front of Gustavsson’s net to force overtime.
