Mother and daughter reunited on the mythical Cannes Film Festival red carpet. While the film event in the south of France is in full swing, more and more stars are taking over the Croisette. The famous steps of the Cannes Film Festival have welcomed several French stars, but also international ones, like Jude Law, Leonardo DiCaprio, Eva Longoria or the Frenchies Lily-Rose Depp, Chiara Mastroianni and Michèle Laroque.
The latter had attended the screening of the feature film Asteroid City this May 23, 2023 alongside her daughter, a young actress in the making named Oriane Deschamps. A status of “daughter of” which has not always been easy to assume for the young woman of 27 years. “When I was 15-16 years old, I did everything to hide who my mother was. But we ended up learning it, and it was worse. I felt rejected, I had become quite paranoid”, explained -elle in the columns of Gala in 2018.
Very fusional with her daughter, Michèle Laroque had affirmed that they were like “best friends”, during her passage in 2019 in the program Une ambition Intime on M6. “Sometimes I can be her mother too when she needs I can mother her”, she had told and to continue: “I tried to give her a good example and not to prevent her from being the daughter wonderful that she was, to guide her so that she is fully, and I am spoiled”.
