The San Bernardino National Forest Law Enforcement & Investigations team is seeking assistance to identify two individuals captured on camera stealing equipment from U.S. Forest Service fire trucks. Authorities are working diligently to locate and identify two men who were recorded on security footage taking fire equipment from a U.S. Forest Service vehicle in San Bernardino County. On January 17th, around 3:30 a.m., two individuals arrived in a red two-door Jeep Wrangler at the parking lot of a Hilton Inn Express on Milliken Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga, as per a news release from the U.S. Forest Service’s San Bernardino National Forest division.

**Caught in the Act**

These men parked close to a San Bernardino National Forest Engine 336, which was on standby for emergencies during the Santa Ana wind event. They proceeded to force open three locked compartments in the U.S. Forest Service vehicle, stealing fire equipment and loading it into their Jeep before driving away. The suspects were observed turning onto Milliken Avenue and then onto Fifth Street. Descriptions provided indicated that the suspects were between 5’7″ to 6’0″ in height. One individual had a thin mustache, medium to large build, and was wearing a red jacket with a black knit hat. The other suspect was seen in a blue baseball cap, a blue long-sleeve shirt, and jeans. Their Jeep was distinguished by a California license plate beginning with the number 6, tan seats, and a black soft top.
