Barely two months after Queen Elizabeth II’s jubilee, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have just announced that they will be returning to Europe next September. The Duchess and the Duke of Sussex will indeed rest their feet on the Old Continent from September 5 to 8, 2022 for several charitable operations, reports BFMTV. They “are very happy to visit several charities dear to their hearts,” the couple’s spokesperson said in a statement.

According to Le Figaro, Harry and Meghan will travel to Manchester on September 5 for the Young World Summit. Each year, this summit brings together more than 2,000 young leaders from all over the world and from different backgrounds to discuss the challenges of tomorrow such as climate change or health.

The prince and his wife will then attend the launch of the preparations for the Invictus Games 2023 in Düsseldorf. They will therefore make a detour to Germany in order to participate in the development of these Games initiated by Harry in 2014. This multi-sport competition brings together wounded and or disabled soldiers and war veterans.

Finally, Meghan and Harry will return to the United Kingdom on September 8 to go to the WellChild Awards, of which the son of Prince Charles and Diana is the godfather. This event rewards children who are fighting against the disease but also relatives and caregivers.

The couple had decided to leave London in 2020, two years after their marriage. The prince and the actress had announced their intention to renounce their obligations to the royal family to lead an independent life in the United States. A decision with serious consequences in the relations between the two young people and the rest of the Windsors.

Meghan and Harry’s last visit to England was last June for the 70th anniversary celebrations of Elizabeth II. According to Le Figaro, the couple had been sidelined during the various events and received a very mixed reception from the population. But he had still taken advantage of this trip to celebrate their daughter Lilibeth’s first birthday. It is not known for the moment if the duke and the actress will be accompanied by their two children for this return to Europe and if they will meet the royal family.
