Notice of storm. The Mathis depression, which formed off the coast of Brittany, promises strong gales in France. According to forecasts by La Chaîne Météo, strong gusts of wind are expected “from Cotentin to Pas-de-Calais with 100 to 120 km / h on the coast and 90 to 100 km / h inland”. After a restless night, the 130km/h mark could be reached again on Cap Gris-Nez.

“In Brittany, the wind will gradually lose its intensity in the morning. Conversely, the wind will gain strength from the Paris Basin to the northeast with lines of showers which will be accompanied”, specifies the site specializing in meteorology. For its part, Météo France has placed no less than 70 departments on high wind vigilance, including two on orange alert.
