Massive recall at Carrefour: the 12 products concerned

At the moment, many food products are subject to voluntary recalls by the retail giant Carrefour. The brand in question will celebrate its 63rd anniversary this year. Indeed, the very first Carrefour supermarket opened its doors in 1960, in Annecy in Haute-Savoie. The individuals behind this company are Marcel Fournier and Denis Defforey, both from entrepreneurial families.

Three years later, the two men were inspired by an American trend and opened the first hypermarket in a long series, according to their site. In 1963, it was a first in France: departments spanning an area of ​​nearly 2,500 m2, many self-service products sold at low prices, and finally a total of 400 associated parking spaces free for customers.

Today, the brand has nearly 5,200 stores throughout France and has also established itself abroad: the brand is found in Spain, Belgium, Taiwan, Brazil and even Argentina.
