Martin Lamotte, a face well known to the French. From his debut in the 1970s to the present day, he is one of the popular actors with the public. Comedian, screenwriter and director, the one who celebrates his 76th birthday this Friday, June 2, 2023, continues to surprise throughout his career.

In the 1970s, Martin Lamotte joined the famous Splendid troupe where he played plays at the theatre. It was with the members of the group that he had his first success at the cinema in Les Bronzés, directed by Patrice Leconte. He played Miguel, the host of the Assinie Med club in Ivory Coast.

In the early 1980s, Martin Lamotte continued his career with the troupe in Le Père Noël est une junk, directed by Jean-Marie Poiré, adapted from their play performed at the Splendid. He plays the role of Monsieur Leblé, the grumpy neighbor of the building where the SOS Détresse Amitié association is located.

Martin Lamotte is also behind the success of Papy fait de la resistance, which he wrote with Christian Clavier. On screen, he plays Guy-Hubert Bourdelle, better known as Super-Résistant. A popular hero with millions of viewers.

On the television side, Martin Lamotte distinguished himself in the 2000s with SœurThérèse.com. A detective fiction broadcast on TF1 where he takes on the role of Inspector Bonnaventure, officiating with the famous nun played by his comrade Dominique Lavanant.

Several years later, Martin Lamotte finds his habits as a grumpy character in the skin of Monsieur Lambert, the concierge of the series Our Dear neighbors on TF1. A cult character that the actor played for several seasons until the end of fiction in 2017.
