A moment of emotion! This Monday, April 17, two new parts of I promise you, the French series adapted from the American phenomenon This Is Us, are broadcast on TF1. In episode 5 of season 3, the character of Maud, played by Marilou Berry, will live a great moment by participating in The Voice.
Before discovering his passage (in the video below), here is what awaits the companion of Tanguy (Marc Riso). “Five months have passed and Maud must appear for the blind auditions of The Voice. But a few hours before her visit, she still has not made her choice of song. She will then call on her family to help him find the right one,” the summary reads.

In the first images of her audition, the sister of Michaël (Guillaume Labbé) and Mathis (Narcisse Name) arrives on the set of The Voice, pregnant, and wears a long red dress. Under the eyes of her family in front of their screen and host Nikos Aliagas behind the scenes, the candidate finally chose to perform Voilà, the song by Barbara Pravi, ranked second in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021. Go succeed in seducing the four coaches Florent Pagny, Amel Bent, Vianney and Marc Lavoine (also jurors in season 10)?
Spoiler alert: the answer is yes! Only Marc Lavoine looked back on Maud’s performance by hitting his buzzer. A real relief for the candidate whose performance was praised by the other stars of the TF1 show. But, is it really the singing voice of Marilou Berry that seduced the coaches? Here is the answer…
For the filming of her blind audition, actress Marilou Berry shot on the real set in the Lendit studios in Plaine-Saint-Denis (in the Paris region) for two days. “We shot with their cameras, their technicians, on their set and with their staging,” she confided in Télé-Loisirs. “It’s exactly like having a blind audition, with all the advantages but without the disadvantages of playing my life in three minutes. My legs were still shaking”.
Regarding her vocal performance, the daughter of Josiane Balasko reveals that her voice has been replaced by Juliette Moraine, former candidate for season 3 of the tele-hook. “Maud is not a bathroom singer. I didn’t want to limit my character’s abilities to mine. I may be able to sing a little bit, but I certainly don’t have Juliette Moraine’s technique,” said entrusted the forties to the media site.
The singer and runner-up to Barbara Pravi at Destination Eurovision (to present France in the singing competition) was also present on the set, as Marilou Berry told our colleagues. “Juliette performed the song live and next to me, offscreen, for even more realism”. An amazing performance that should appeal to fans of the soap opera tonight on TF1.
