Luis Enjuanes (Valencia, 1945) it is the principal investigator of the laboratory of Coronaviruses from the National Center of Biotechnology (CNB-CSIC). He trained in the laboratory of Eladio Viñuela and Margarita Salas, is one of the virologists Spanish most cited by his colleagues and a world reference in the field of coronaviruses, with more than 200 publications and 10 patents to his back. Among other things, his laboratory is known for having been the first to develop a system of reverse genetics in corona, with multiple applications to the investigation of the biology of these pathogens and for vaccine development.
