(Lowell) The Professional Women’s Hockey League game between the Ottawa and Boston teams scheduled for Monday has been postponed.

In a press release released this morning, LPHF officials clarified that the bad weather in the greater Boston area was preventing travel.

The meeting, which was to be played at the Tsongas Center at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, will be rescheduled as soon as possible, league leaders also announced.

Both teams are looking for a first victory since the start of the season on January 1.

Ottawa lost 3-2 in overtime to Montreal in its season opener on January 2 at TD Place. The next day, the Boston team lost by the same score against Minnesota, also at home.

The next two meetings will take place on Wednesday evening, including the one between Montreal and New York, at the UBS Arena.
