Laurent had marked the viewers of the 14th season of Love is in the meadow by his calm and his extreme kindness. The sheep and cow breeder based in Nièvre had found happiness in the arms of Maud, who had left everything to join him on his farm. But in recent years, the couple has had to face serious financial difficulties: this is why they have decided to launch a new call for help on social networks, Wednesday August 17, 2022.

As relayed by Télé Star, Maud thus explained in an Instagram story that Laurent had to pay a large sum in taxes. In question: an online kitty launched in 2020 when the farmer was already plagued by money worries, caused among other things by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Many of you have supported us and shown us your friendship”, confides Laurent in a new appeal to Internet users on the Miimosa platform. “Unfortunately, a new hard blow fell on my head. By carrying out my balance sheet, the collection has greatly increased my taxes to be paid. (…) I have to pay around 30,000 euros of various taxes by the end of the year”, reveals the breeder.

“Once again, my operation and my passion are in danger because I will not be able to meet these reimbursements in addition to my other expenses”, laments the former candidate of L’Amour est dans le pré. In 2020, the support of the farmer had mobilized en masse to allow him to continue his activity. The new kitty put online has already started well, with nearly 10,000 euros collected on Friday August 19, out of the 30,000 euros hoped for.

The new season of L’Amour est dans le pré will be launched on Monday August 22 at 9:10 p.m. on M6. For this 17th edition, 13 participants (9 men and 4 women) decided to try their luck in order to find a soul mate. A first speed-dating between the Corsican Sébastien and one of his contenders was unveiled this week on Twitter. Among the candidates selected this year, we will find for the first time a father-daughter duo as well as a former emblematic participant of the program, Thierry.
