(Laval) Defenseman Logan Mailloux will represent the Rocket at the American Hockey League All-Star Game, the Laval organization announced Wednesday afternoon.

Mailloux, who is originally from Belle River, Ontario, was selected in his first professional season.

The 20-year-old is currently the team’s third-leading scorer and top defenseman with six goals and 14 assists in 32 games this season.

Mailloux was selected in the first round, 31st overall, by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

Each of the four AHL sections will be represented by 12 players. The rosters were determined by AHL coaching committees, and all 32 AHL teams are represented by at least one All-Star.

The AHL All-Star Game will take place February 4-5 in San Jose, California.
