In 2021, TF1 launched its new HPI series featuring Audrey Fleurot as Morgane Alvaro, a mother and housekeeper with high intellectual potential and an IQ as high as that of Einstein. But then what does this term, which everyone is talking about, mean? “Popularized by the eponymous series, HPI is much more than a mysterious acronym”, writes Sandrine Belmont, doctor of psychology and author of the book HPI, Who are they really?

Like Adriana Karembeu, a gifted person with a full head. In an issue of The Extraordinary Powers of the Human Body, Michel Cymes’ sidekick took an IQ test with the famous doctor. After analysis of their results by a psychologist, the latter told the ex-model that she had an intelligence quotient of 120. “These doubts and these constant hesitations in relation to who you are, I really believe that you really have a real gifted adult profile”. A result that had left the sublime blonde speechless!

Do you think being a reality TV contestant and being gifted is impossible? Think again, it exists. Revealed in the ninth season of Les Marseillais, Maïssane makes headlines with her superior intelligence. The 23-year-old brunette, a student in computer engineering school, in parallel with her career on TV, has an Intelligence Quotient (IQ) of 147. It is therefore not an abuse of language to affirm that this candidate is truly gifted.

In the sphere people, we can notice that Maïssane is far from being an isolated case. Some stars, if they had not made the choice of the heart by turning to an artistic career, could have worked for NASA. This is the case of American actor James Woods, known for having played in Sergio Leone’s western Once upon a time in America, who confided, in the program Inside the Actor’s Studio, to have an IQ of 184! One of the highest among our celebrity friends. Albert Einstein and Mozart just have to get dressed with their respective IQs of “only” 160 and 165.

According to Medisite, only 2.5% of the population is declared “gifted”. To be considered as such, you must obtain a score above 130. The average intelligence is between 85 and 115 IQ. Seven out of ten people have an intelligence quotient between these two values, specifies Medisite. When your IQ is between 115 and 130, you have above-average intelligence, explains Au Féminin.
