A cult show that changed their lives. In 2001 was broadcast The adventurers of Koh-Lanta, hosted on TF1 by Hubert Auriol. A unique experience for this rally-raid legend who accompanied the first adventurers in Thailand.

“When TF1 launched their first reality TV show, I was offered to be the presenter of Koh-Lanta because they found that my personality represented the host he was looking for”, we told he entrusted in 2020. If the famous racing driver will officiate only one season, his replacement Denis Brogniart (voice-over of the program) has succeeded him perfectly until today.

“I find that Denis Brogniart succeeded me perfectly in Koh-Lanta! He plays the role very well behind. I have no regrets about that”, confessed Hubert Auriol, before his sudden death in January 2021 at 68 years. Two decades later, the famous adventure game continues to endure in the French audiovisual landscape.

After twenty classic seasons and seven special editions, Koh-Lanta has revealed more than a hundred candidates who have marked millions of viewers. While some have won the game, others have taken advantage of their notoriety to impose themselves on social networks, participate in other television shows (such as Fort Boyard, produced by the company Adventure Line Productions, just like the show survival on TF1).

Some have even followed in the footsteps of Denis Brogniart in animation. Do you know which emblematic candidates have had the opportunity to present a program (or a column) on the small screen? From Apprentice Adventurers to La Carte aux Trésors… Planet reveals everything in images in the slideshow.
