Jurgen Klopp discusses the competition between Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah ahead of the AFCON final

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mene will go head-tohead when Senegal takes on Egypt in the final of Africa Cup of Nations in Yaounde Cameroon.

Liverpool – regardless of which player returns to Anfield as a champion of Africa.

Tonight’s AFCON final will see the Kop’s two brilliant fronts face off in Yaounde’s Olembe Stadium. Salah’s Egypt meets Mane’s Senegal.

The Anfield boss insists that the boys are true warriors. They are always ready and not concerned about vacations or days off. It was never something I heard them inquire about.

Klopp said: “Mo, and Sadio both had a successful Africa Cup of Nations. But there is only one winner. All the rest lose. This is the world that we made for them. We are grateful that you asked, as no one ever asks how they handle it.

“But it is not a problem for me. I will do my best to help them. We will talk when they return and see if there is anything they require.

“If they have a need for a day off or such, we will do everything in our power to help them.” We will do anything to help our boys in any situation.
