(Montreal) Air Canada announces that Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Amos Kazzaz will retire at the end of June.
Mr. Kazzaz will be replaced by John Di Bert, who is the current CFO of Clarios International and served as CFO at Bombardier and Pratt
In a press release, President and CEO Michael Rousseau said Mr. Kazzaz has helped the airline weather the impacts of COVID-19 and help it bounce back quickly.
He said Mr. Kazzaz’s 13-year career with Air Canada had seen him make a significant contribution to the company’s success and wished him a long and happy retirement.
Mr. Rousseau said Mr. DiBert’s experience in aerospace and in senior leadership roles will help Air Canada realize its full potential post-pandemic.
In a note, RBC analyst Walter Spracklin noted that DiBert was an experienced and well-suited candidate for the position.
