JobGet Expands Reach with Acquisition of Wirkn
JobGet, a Boston-based app-first hiring platform, has recently acquired Wirkn, a frontline recruitment platform based in Montreal, Canada. The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
With this acquisition, JobGet aims to extend its reach to Wirkn’s network of over 17,000 mall, retail, and restaurant locations, providing a wider pool of applicants for these brands. Wirkn, led by Mathieu Weber, offers a platform for North American brands to find hourly employees through various channels such as job boards, social media, and direct interactions.
On the other hand, JobGet, under the leadership of CEO Tony Liu, specializes in connecting everyday job seekers with employers in sectors that require hourly or non-exempt roles. The platform has already connected over 70 million job seekers with renowned brands like Avis, Whole Foods, and Lovesac, streamlining the hiring process across industries such as retail, manufacturing, and healthcare.
This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone for JobGet as it continues to revolutionize the hiring process for both job seekers and employers alike.
