A new recruit arrives on TF1. This Tuesday, May 23, the first channel in Europe formalized the arrival of Isabelle Ithurburu in the private audiovisual group. A flagship figure of the PAF, the host and sports journalist officiated for several years for Canal where she presented major events and programs around rugby (Canal Rugby Club), without forgetting every Saturday the magazines Le Tube (2016-2018) and Good evening ! (2018-2019).

By formalizing his arrival in the TF1 group, the channel announced that the forty-something host will succeed Nikos Aliagas by taking over the reins of 50 ‘Inside. The weekly people magazine that the host has embodied every Saturday since 2007. Subsequently, Isabelle Ithurburu will also be at the head of the Rugby World Cup Magazine at the start of the 2023 school year.

“I am delighted with the arrival of Isabelle Ithurburu at TF1. She has had a very good career within the Canal Plus Group,” said Ara Aprikian, TF1 Group Deputy Managing Director in charge of content, in a press release. For him, “Isabelle is a great professional, experienced in live and in interviews”. Before attending the first steps of the new presenter next September, Planet invites you to find out more about her career and her personal life.

Born in 1981 in Pau, Isabelle Ithurburu was raised in the southwest with her brother Sébastien by her parents Auguste and Marie-Madeleine, two well-known merchants in the city. “They were known as the white wolf!” She joked in an interview with the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Paris site last February. Educated at Notre-Dame-de-Saint-Maur college and then at Louis Barthou high school, she is passionate about dancing and singing, while supporting the Section Paloise.

In the early 2000s, Isabelle Ithurburu took part in beauty contests in her region. An incredible challenge for the young woman, aged 18, who has long suffered from remarks about her physical appearance. “I was complexed, quite thin, I was mocked,” says the one who was elected Miss Pau-Béarn 2001, quoted by Purepeople.

“I agreed to do it when I saw that there was a trip to win, thanks to which I could bring my mom to the sun!”. After this dream parenthesis, Isabelle Ithurubu began studying international business. Before graduating, the Paloise is noticed in a famous telecrochet on M6.

In 2007, Isabelle Ithurburu was only a young student in Toulon when she entered the cast of the fifth season of Nouvelle Star, hosted by Virginie Efira on M6. After several stages passed in front of the members of the jury, the candidate managed to impose herself among the 15 finalists to perform on the stage of the Pavillon Baltard. Live, she sang the song Butterfly from the band Superbus. It will not be saved by viewers during this edition won by a certain Julien Doré.

Several years later, Isabelle Ithurburu returned to her media experience on the Bixente Lizarazu show, of which she does not have good memories. “It’s the worst,” she says before detailing. “Anyway, it’s screwed. That is to say, I chose to come back to TV – but in fact, I didn’t do it on purpose – and since then I have been brought out every time . I think I would never have heard of it again if I had stayed in a traditional profession or in the provinces. Afterwards, it’s the game. I did it, I shouldn’t have “, according to remarks relayed by Télé-Loisirs.

Since then, Isabelle Ithurburu has hung up the microphone to evolve on TV sets and rugby pitches. If the former sports host of Canal pushed the song during confinement (see the video shared by our colleagues from HuffPost), she also shares her passion with her companion.

According to the Terrafemina site, Isabelle Ithurburu was married in 2010 to former Argentinian rugby player Gonzalo Quesada, whom she met in Pau. After five years of marriage, the couple have called it quits. After their breakup, the presenter rebuilt her life with musician Maxim Nucci and gave birth to their daughter Mia in 2018.

Better known as Yodélice, the songwriter and musician was behind the successes of girl group L5 and singer Jenifer. The latter was in a relationship with him from 2002 to 2008. Since then, the singer and musician has also composed film music (Les Petits Mouchoirs, Rock’n’roll by Guillaume Canet), won a music victory in 2010 ( in the Revelation Album of the Year category) and collaborated on several Johnny Hallyday records.
