Isabelle Balkany: the amount of her “small” retirement revealed

Recently convicted of tax evasion and aggravated money laundering, Isabelle Balkany, invited to the C8 set by Jordan De Luxe, returned to the highlights of her tormented life. In this program mixing confessions and indiscretions, the journalist pushes his guests to reveal themselves, in particular about their private lives, in order to obtain some scoops.

After escaping prison due to her state of health, the former vice-president of the Hauts-de-Seine general council has been fighting cancer since last February. This does not mean that she feels sorry for her fate: “I cling on like a moth” she quipped in front of the presenter Jordan De Luxe.

After discussing her illness as well as the recent cases to which she is linked alongside her companion, Isabelle Balkany revealed the amount she receives each month for her retirement. And that’s quite surprising. According to her, she would receive a little less than 4,000 € per month. For her, this sum would be ridiculous and unfair in view of the various positions she has held during her career: “I don’t really know anymore, but I’m getting my retirement from my years of work, at the magazine Combat, plus my retirement as deputy mayor for 40 years in Levallois plus my retirement as vice-president of the Hauts-de-Seine general council, in charge of the 75,000 college students in the department, which is a lot of work I can confirm, for 29 years old,” she said. Quite speechless by the amount mentioned, the C8 journalist cannot believe it. Finally, she ends up talking about her husband’s retirement “fortunately Patrick (Balkany, editor’s note) was a parliamentarian” even if she ends up admitting that the latter’s retirement “is not huge”.

Currently, Isabelle Balkany has been residing in Giverny since her parole. Next deadlines for her, her answers to questions from the JAP (Sentence Enforcement Judge) as well as her care for her pancreatic cancer.
