A mother spent over 370 euros on her daughter’s garden party, but the guest list remained empty. She draws harsh conclusions from this.
Anber, a mother of five from Las Vegas, is horrified: None of the invited guests showed up to her daughter’s birthday party – even though she had invested 400 US dollars, the equivalent of around 372 euros. As the “ Daily Mail ” reports, she had equipped the home garden with catering, snacks, a bouncy castle and decorations especially for the party.
According to the Daily Mail, Anber shared her suffering on the social media platform TikTok. There she published a video showing the decorated but deserted garden. The mother captioned the video, “Literally cried… spent over $400.”
The mother revealed in another video that she had expected the guests around 2 p.m. and even confirmed again at 10 a.m. whether they were coming. The guests included family members and a few friends who wanted to bring their own children. However, as of 5 p.m., none of them had bothered to show up or notify the family that they would not be coming.
Anber’s disappointment was so great that she decided to break off contact with the invited guests. Despite their numerous text messages and calls the next day, Anber vowed she would never host a party again.
But the opposite experience at Anber’s children’s birthday party can also bring with it some pitfalls. In April, a mother was expecting a maximum of eleven guests at her child’s birthday party – but suddenly twice as many children showed up.
“Our total number of participants ended up at 19, which messed everything up, especially the final price,” the mother said on Reddit. The biggest problem would have been that many parents brought their own offspring with them uninvited.
