(Los Angeles) Zach Hyman scored the game-winning goal in overtime for the Edmonton Oilers who beat the Los Angeles Kings 5-4 on Sunday night. This victory allowed them to equalize at 2-2 in this first round of the playoffs.

Hyman beat Kings goaltender Joonas Korpisalo between the pads at 10:39 of overtime for his first goal of the playoffs.

Leon Draisaitl had two goals and an assist for the Oilers, and led the NHL playoff points standings with five goals and four assists.

Evan Bouchard added a goal and an assist and Evander Kane also shook the net for the Oilers in Game 3 of the series that ended in overtime.

Oilers captain Connor McDavid handed out three assists.

Starting goaltender Stuart Skinner was removed after the first period when the Kings scored three unanswered goals on 11 shots.

Jack Campbell stopped 27 of 28 shots in 50½ minutes of relief.

Gabriel Vilardi, Victor Arvidsson, Anze Kopitar and Matt Roy scored for the Kings.

Kevin Fiala had two assists in his first game since April 1 and Philip Danault also contributed with a pair of assists. Korpisalo made 37 saves in the loss.

The series will travel to Edmonton for Game 5 on Tuesday and return to Los Angeles for Game 6 on Saturday.
