39 household products are classified D or E in the “Ménag’Score”. This assessment is based on the composition of the products, their quantity and their impact on health and the environment. It assigns a rating of A, “products to be used without reservation”, to E corresponding to products with “too many problematic substances” in their composition.

Whether it is 60 million consumers, UFC-Que Choisir or Ademe, the Ecological Transition Agency, all warn about the toxicity of these products for health and the environment. Some even have endocrine disruptors, recognized as harmful to health. To find out if a product is toxic, you can first check on the UFC-Que Choisir website if it contains allergens or endocrine disruptors. For DIY or decoration products, a label must always be present on the product packaging.

On the other hand, the European Eco-label and the NF Environment label ensure the low harmfulness of the products. More recently, the “tested and approved by seniors” label was founded. This label is found on all products tested, from their unboxing to use under the control of ergonomists, which obtained a score greater than or equal to 6.
