(Montreal) Hergy Mayala will be back with the Montreal Alouettes next season.

A source within the CFL confirmed to La Presse Canadienne that the Canadian receiver had agreed with the team. The person spoke on condition of anonymity since the Alouettes had not yet announced the news.

Mayala became a free agent in February and signed a contract with the New Orleans Breakers of the United States Football League. However, he never played for the team.

Last season, her first with the Alouettes, Mayala caught 33 passes for 409 yards and two touchdowns.

The adopted Montrealer has 113 catches for 1,352 yards and 12 majors in 42 CFL games with the Calgary Stampeders and the Alouettes.
