Heineken ensures that 91% of its vendors and purchases are of Spanish origin

on the occasion of the presentation of the half year results at the global level of the Group Heineken , the subsidiary in Spain has submitted its contribution to the Spanish market in numbers. The company has also ensured that 91% of the raw materials and purchases from suppliers of its four factories in Spain (Seville, Madrid, Valencia and Jaén) have their origin in the local market. A commitment to the local markets, which has guaranteed the director of Corporate Relations for Heineken Carmen POnce, who has aseguraod that “ we will continue relying on local suppliers and using ingredients of Spanish origin in order to continue producing beers that appeal to the world: society and the planet”.

In any case, Heineken has also launched movements such as #FUERZABAR next to other brands in the industry to fill the stores, restaurants and bars with a total of 21.2 million products. Also, in the field of environmental, the brewer has returned to 1,400 million liters of water to nature through various projects in its factories in Seville, Jaén and Valencia, and hopes that, thanks to an agreement with Iberdrola production performed with 100% renewable energy.
