The Minister of Culture and Communications, Mathieu Lacombe, announced on Tuesday an investment of $3 million over three years to help artists and arts workers who are victims of harassment and violence in the cultural sector.

In fact, it is a question of helping workers in the cultural sector to assert their rights. This aid will pass through L’aparté, from the Clinique Juripop, which will support these workers in their legal procedures.

Eligible persons will thus be accompanied and represented free of charge by L’Aparté lawyers at the Administrative Labor Tribunal (TAP).

The general manager of Juripop, Me Sophie, Gagnon, welcomed this announcement, which reinforces the mandate of L’Aparté, which has accompanied more than 400 people since its establishment.

Further details to come.
