The Green-Chairman Robert Habeck has contracted with a call for support at the state election in Thuringia, ridicule and criticism. In a Sunday of the Thuringian Green published an Internet video, he said: “We try to make everything in order that Thuringia is an open, free, liberal, democratic country, an ecological country.”

The East German state is to be free and democratic? The of there master by the end of the Bundestag Executive Director of the SPD Carsten Schneider, replied with irony: “In which prison I lived for the last years?”, he asked, also on the short message service Twitter. SPD Deputy chief Ralf Stegner wrote: “A bit arrogant of this campaign style.” Others pointed to the coalition that currently governs in Thuringia: formed by the left party, the SPD and the Greens.

It is not the first Time that Habeck head on Twitter. Before the state election in October in Bavaria, he was required to complete the CSU-alone rule, so you could say: “Finally there is democracy in Bavaria”. After criticism he had given, “lax”, it is stated: “The criticism of it, I suppose. This was in election fever. Sorry for that!“

On Sunday responded to the Green then quickly. The call disappeared, and instead, it said: “We have taken Robert Habecks call from the network, because many have misunderstood him: no, we’re not talking THÜ bad. Robert s does not’. How stupid would we be, after a good 4 years R2G?! Thuringia is easy to be green & organic.“ With R2G is red-Red-Green meant.

Some Twitter users responded, however, that the attempt at an explanation with criticism: Habecks statement was not misleading – after all, the Greens have said-the Chairman of the same. Instead, the party attempts now, “the black Peter to the readers”.
