Close the windows, turn off the water… Before going on vacation, the list of things to check in your home can be long. It is then difficult to find it. To make this step easier for you and help you leave with peace of mind, you can discover in our slideshow below the checklist to complete before leaving your home this summer. But are many of you leaving for the summer of 2023?

In June 2023, Atout France, France’s tourism development agency, in collaboration with the Opinion Way polling institute, unveiled the barometer of French people’s intentions to leave for the summer of 2023. The objective was then to assess the percentage of departures on vacation and to identify any changes compared to previous years. To carry out this survey, the companies based themselves on a sample of 2,002 people aged over 18.

For the summer of 2023, many French people are considering going on vacation. Indeed, 73% of them wish to book a weekend or a stay between June and September 2023. This represents an increase of 12% since 2021. Even more, only 16% of them do not intend to go on vacation. This represents a decrease of 3% compared to the year 2022. The main reasons relate to the insufficient financial means of households, or even personal reasons.

But among the French who wish to leave their homes this summer, 59% plan to leave for a long stay, that is to say for a period of more than four days. 37% prefer to take a short break. Nevertheless, certain periods seem neglected for the holidays. Indeed, the weekend of July 14 and the bridge of August 15 seem less attractive for the French. 86% would rather take advantage of another period between June and September. But when you leave, it is necessary to check that your accommodation is ready for your prolonged absence. Discover in our slideshow below the checklist to check to leave serenely.
