Thursday April 6, 2023 will mark the eleventh day of mobilization against the pension reform. All sectors of the public service are on strike and intend to continue to demonstrate. Thus, the CGT filed numerous strike notices from April 3rd. In addition, the trade unions met Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne this Wednesday, April 5 for a meeting. Indeed, Sophie Binet, new president of the CGT, accepted the request of the elected representative at Matignon, as reported by our colleagues from France Info … A meeting which came to a halt, the unions having deplored “the failure” of this discussion.
In preparation for this new day of strikes, several sectors have never stopped the renewal since March 7th. Among them are the refineries, blocked for many weeks. On the weekend of March 18, the TotalEnergies Normandie refinery, the largest in France, was also blocked by the CGT-Chimie. The one located in Donges, in Loire-Atlantique, has also renewed the strike for the fifth consecutive week, according to France 3 Pays de la Loire. These blockages have begun to affect the fuel stocks of service stations. Nevertheless, some remain spared. Find out in our slideshow below if your department is exempt.
For several weeks, Ouest-France has established the fuel level map of service stations for each department. Of the 5,800 stations regularly updating their data on prix-carburants.gouv.fr, 1,132 would be out of diesel or SP95-E10 between March 31 and April 4, 2023. Among the departments most in difficulty, we find Ile-de-France with a very significant shortage of unleaded.
In addition, other departments are completely out of danger for this Easter weekend. Indeed, their percentage of out of service stations remains very low compared to the others. The latter is calculated from the number of stations in difficulty out of the total of participating service stations, that is to say, those having communicated their data. For this slideshow, we will only take into account the percentage for the period from March 31 to April 4, 2023, established from the publication of the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the morning of April 4.
