The sun gives way to rain and thunderstorms. This is how we can sum up the weather for the next weekend and it is not really good news for those who had planned to escape for a bit. The thunderstorms will be back and, as La Chaîne Météo explains, “they could be quite strong overnight from Saturday to Sunday, crossing France from west to east”. The specialized site plans the start of this episode for Saturday May 6 in the evening, then for Sunday May 7 all day throughout France, with occasional hail.
The arrival of thunderstorms on Saturday will not prevent the rise in temperatures in many regions. Here are the ones that are expected for the start of the weekend.
Temperatures will drop a notch on Sunday, May 7, since the maximum will be 23°C in the southeast and 18°C in the north of the country. In addition to thunderstorms, rain should also appear in a large part of France and settle for a few days: the start of next week will also be marked by showers.
The first thunderstorms are expected to appear this Friday, May 5 in certain departments. Météo France has already placed 45 of them on yellow vigilance for thunderstorms starting this Friday morning. Check out the forecast below.
