On Saturday, we played in the waters of the bay of Gijón the second day of the Trophy’s Summer Dinghy Sailing on the R.C.A.R..
We performed the two sleeves provided for under a tour of windward-leeward, the wind somewhat unstable blew from the North with an intensity of between 7 and 12 knots, sea smooth and clear sky.
In the class Snipe, Francisco Palacio and Diego Jiménez won the two rounds, lead the class with three victories so far and is emerging as the great favorites to take the Trophy. The second place in the general is for, Jaime Alvarez-Hevia and Ignacio Braña with a fourth and a second place in the day. The third place of the ranking is occupied, Francisco Silvela and Alvaro Lopez fifth in the first race and third in the second. For his part, Alvaro and Beatriz Joy crossed in second place to the finish line in the first sleeve.
Among the Feva, Covadonga Fernández and Carmen Simal after winning the two races of the day are placed at the head of the table, beating Eva Mª Martínez-Junquera and Mario de Diego, second in the two contested trials and in the general. The third place is for the couple formed by Marta Duran and Carmen Ronzón third, in the same way, in the day.
finally, in Optimist, Gonzalo Jaudenes with the first two in your locker is placed at the front of the general, followed very closely by, Marta Simal to just a single point. Aida Marques closes the positions in the podium after finishing third in the two races.
The third day of the Summer Trophy will take place next 16th of August, being the bay of Gijón is the stage of testing.
