66.1% businesses continued to open during the state of alarm, and of them, about two out of three were reduced sales , according to data published this Friday by the National Statistics Institute (INE).

Almost 70% of companies had to reorganize or reduce the working hours of their workers during the alarm state, percentage that rises to almost 80% in the case of the industry.

The Statistical data reveal that nearly 40% of companies took advantage of a Record of the Temporal Regulation of Employment (ERTE) for part or all of their workers, a percentage that exceeds 50% in the branches of transport and accommodation.

teleworking has been the most commonly used formula to maintain the level of activity in the business during the state of alarm, as the successfully defended 48.8% of the companies used, followed by an increase in the level of digitization (by 15.1%).

In the case of commercial establishments, in addition to the teleworking have also been introduced during the pandemic the in-home service (16.6%), and e-commerce (to 16.4%).

telecommuting has gone from used in only 15% of the business prior to the pandemic, to be a practice adopted by almost half of the companies during the pandemic, covering about 50% of your templates.

Statistical highlights that around a third of establishments that have adopted telework declares that will in the future. Also, in the commercial establishments, most of the third party will maintain in the future the home service and the e-commerce of their products.

The INE also highlighted that, after the crisis of the coronavirus, 23.3% of companies plan to make innovations in their production processes, a 22,4% intended to make investments in new technologies and 17.4% will increase investment in the training of their workers.

For its part, a 4.8% declared that will probably close in the next six months.
