The cause of this major bad weather is none other than a strong high-altitude jet stream that facilitated the digging of a depression off the Azores. This morning of Tuesday March 14, the depression in question continued its trajectory through the English Channel. At the edge of the Atlantic, it can trigger gusts of up to 100 km / h, and up to 70 to 90 km / h inland. In Corsica, they can even reach 120 km/h! Around the Mediterranean basin, the Mistral, the Tramuntana and the westerly wind will contribute to the stormy atmosphere.
