Watch your mailbox carefully. In times of high inflation and rising energy prices, every nudge from the government is worth taking. The sending of energy checks began on Friday April 21 and continues this week in many French departments, until the end of May. Who will benefit first from this aid, which is sometimes eagerly awaited by some households? Who will have to wait a bit?
In all, the beneficiaries of 31 departments will be able to benefit from the first shipments between Monday 24 and Friday 28 April. The government has unveiled a provisional timetable for sending the document, specifying that “the time between sending the energy checks and receiving them at the beneficiary’s home is generally between 2 to 4 days”.
Beneficiaries of the energy check for previous years who have chosen to automatically allocate their 2023 check to a supplier will be informed of their benefit from the 2023 energy check between April 28 and May 6, regardless of the beneficiary’s department. “, adds the official document. If you have chosen this option, you are therefore not affected by the mailing schedule unveiled by the government this week. Only the beneficiaries of the paper check are subject to these dates.
To be able to benefit from this aid, you must have a reference tax income per consumption unit of less than 11,000 euros in 2021. If you are eligible, you do not have to take any steps since the sending is done automatically by the Job. This year, the amount of this aid ranges between 48 and 277 euros and you can use it until March 31, 2024. Did you receive it last year? Keep an eye on your mailbox this year. Here are those for whom it will be sent this week.
