Since April 13, the campaign for the 2023 tax declaration has been officially launched. The French can therefore now complete their tax form. If this is not necessarily a pleasant task, the month of April still holds good surprises.

Indeed, from Friday 21 April, the first energy vouchers for 2023 will be sent. Over time, 5.8 million households will receive a boost to pay their energy bills. The distribution of this aid was particularly expected this year because this sector has been strongly affected by inflation in recent months.

Useful for paying electricity, gas, wood or fuel bills, this aid can also be used to carry out energy work. However, its distribution is not generalized to the whole territory: it concerns only part of the population. “It is open to households whose reference tax income per consumption unit (one person constitutes 1 unit, the second 0.5 and each additional person 0.3) is less than 11,000 euros in 2021”, explains the site. public service website.

Its amount is variable and is calculated according to the consumption reference income of each household. Sent once a year, the energy check can therefore amount to 48 to 277 euros depending on each person’s situation.

The date of dispatch varies from one department to another. In April, it will be sent to 31 departments. Discover in our slideshow the list of the territories concerned.
